A Study on Korean Traditional Dance`s Effect on Middle-Aged Women`s Mental Health and Life Satisfaction

Abstract

|
This study's aim is twofold: first, it analyzes how positively the therapy adopting Korean traditional dance influences on a group of middle-aged women's mental health and life satisfaction. Second, it tries to present some fundamental materials for the educational programs that can be developed from this kind of therapy. The results are summarized as followed. First, the average figure was relatively decreased from (M=126.20) of pre-test to the average figure (M=97.37) of post-test (p<.01). Second, it analyzed the influence of participation into dance therapy in life satisfaction of middle-aged women and got the result that there was a meaningful difference (p<.01) in statistics; the average figure was changed
from (M=90.77) of pre-test to (M=100.47) of post-test.
